mHealth Compendium Volume 4: Call for Case Study Submissions

8/25/2014

The African Strategies for Health (ASH) project is currently developing the fourth volume of the mHealth Compendium. The Compendiums document a range of innovative mHealth applications and programs in Africa and other regions. It aims to serve as a valuable resource to USAID missions in Africa regarding options for mHealth implementation in developing countries, as well as others in the field of mobile health hoping to access an easily digestible resource of current mHealth innovations. Each case study includes information on the scope of the project, the extent to which it has been evaluated, any known measurable outcomes, and point of contact for further information.

Thus far, the first three Compendiums have featured a total of 85 case studies and have been distributed to mHealth experts and USAID officers during various conferences, including the 2013 International Conference on Family Planning in Ethiopia and USAID's 2013 State of the Art (SOTA) meeting in South Africa. The most recent volume was distributed to over 300 officials from USAID and African Ministries of Health and has been translated into French, with the Portuguese version coming next month.
